About the Event:
Open Water Swimathon is the opening event of 3 days Ultimate Adventure & Music Fest at Ultimate Survival Campsite.
Take the first step towards exploring the world of open water swimming by joining the Swimathon at Ultimate Survival Campsite. This event has an option for both novice swimmers who want to explore the adventure in open waters and for the experienced swimmers to take the challenge of racing in open waters.
Event will take place in the pristine waters of Beas River. Swimmers will do loops of 500 mtrs for their race distance. Adequate safety measures will be in place to ensure safety of all the swimmers. However, swimmers can use an open water swimming safety buoy (refer to pic below) for their own safety.

General Instructions-
1. Participants can swim in any stroke/style as per their preference
2. Participants are encouraged to use safety buoys. However, it should not be used to aid forward movement and should only be used to float/rest
3. Participants are not allowed to carry any other floatation devices
4. Swim course will be marked with the help of floating buoys or Station boats
5. Beginners are encouraged to participate in shorter distances
6. Athletes will make a staggered start with a 2 mins interval between each wave
7. Wearing a swim cap is mandatory (bright colours advised for easy of spotting)
8. Swim course will be an out and back loop of 500mtrs
9. Wetsuit and swim skins are allowed
10. Participants are encouraged to wear swimming goggles to aid sighting
11. Participants can take support of the rope/boats/kayaks/rafts to rest but cannot move
12. If the participant chooses to board the boat, then they cannot continue racing.
13. Timing will be done manually
Safety Arrangements-
1. Well trained lifeguards will be station on boats/rafts/kayaks at every 100mtrs
2. Safety boats are equipped with life jackets and safety buoys
3. Swim course will be divided by a rope which can be used by athletes to rest
4. If a participant is found not fit for swimming, then the organizers have the right to stop them from racing before start or during the race
5. Life guards are equipped with walkie talkies for quick communication
6. Qualified paramedic support will be available near the start/finish line
7. Water of the river/lake is tested for acceptable alkaline content
8. Swim course will be in loops of 500mtrs to ensure quick response for safety requirements
Safety Instructions-
1. All participants must read and accept the general instructions and safety instructions before participating
2. All participants must declare any medical condition before their participation
3. If you need assistance while in water, raise your hands and shout out loud to gather attention from life guards
4. Do not panic and do what you are trained for
5. Floating buoys are placed to mark the swim course and also to aid sighting
6. Participants are encouraged to use personal swimming safety buoys
Refund Policy:
Cancellation and refund can be requested not later than 15th March 2022.
In case of cancellation or postponement of the event for reasons beyond our control, alternate options will be offered to registrants to participate in our upcoming events but no refunds will be made.
